ICRC Focus: Syria

The ICRC (International Committee of the Red Cross) has been all over the news this week due to the growing tension and concerns surrounding the Syrian conflict. Here is how the ICRC is getting involved:
The ICRC is negotiating with the Syrian authorities and the opposition for a two-hour daily halt in the fighting to allow humanitarian assistance in. "What we want is an immediate halt in the fighting so we can access Homs and the other affected areas to deliver much needed humanitarian aid," says ICRC spokesperson Carla Haddad.

200 students came down with the bug which lead to a complete school shut down.
